Ordering & Minimum Quantities
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom-printed bags?
Our MOQs vary by bag type. For non-woven bags, the MOQ is 500 units; for kraft paper bags, 300 units; for cotton canvas bags, 200 units; and for laminated bags, 500 units. We have deliberately kept these low to accommodate boutiques, D2C startups and growing retail brands — not just large enterprises. Contact our team if your requirement falls below these thresholds and we will advise accordingly.
Can I order different sizes or designs within a single order?
Yes. You can split an order across multiple sizes or bag styles, provided each individual variant meets the per-variant MOQ. For example, a retailer ordering 1,000 kraft paper bags can split them into two size variants of 500 each. Our sales team will confirm the breakdown before production begins.
Do you accept urgent or rush orders?
Our standard production and dispatch window is 7–10 working days from artwork approval. We will assess our current production schedule and advise on feasibility. Rush orders may attract an expedite fee.
Is there a sample available before I commit to a full bulk order?
Yes. We offer pre-production digital proofs as standard at no charge. Physical samples can be produced prior to a full order run — sample charges and lead times will be communicated by our team based on the bag type selected. We strongly recommend approving a physical sample for first-time orders involving new artwork or custom sizes.
Customisation, Printing & Artwork
What printing methods do you use for logo and branding?
We use screen printing and flexographic printing depending on the bag material and design complexity. Non-woven and canvas bags are typically screen-printed, while kraft paper and laminated bags use flexographic printing. Both methods deliver sharp, consistent brand colours across large runs. For multi-colour artwork, pantone references help us match your brand identity accurately.
What artwork file formats do you require?
Please supply artwork as vector files — AI, EPS or PDF formats are preferred. High-resolution PNGs (minimum 300 DPI at print size) are accepted for simple single-colour logos. Our in-house design team can assist with artwork preparation or file conversion if needed. Avoid submitting low-resolution images copied from websites, as these will not reproduce cleanly in print.
How many colours can I print on the bags?
Standard orders support up to 4 spot colours. Full-colour CMYK artwork is available on select laminated and paper bag options — please confirm this requirement when requesting a quote. Each additional colour in screen printing adds to the setup cost, which is offset across larger order volumes.
Can I get bags manufactured in custom sizes not listed on your website?
Absolutely. We operate an in-house manufacturing facility at our Cherlapally plant in Hyderabad, which allows us to produce bags to custom dimensions specified by the client. Provide your required width, height, gusset depth and handle style when submitting your enquiry and we will confirm feasibility and pricing.
Materials, Sustainability & Quality
What bag materials do you manufacture?
Riyan Shopping Bags manufactures in four primary materials: non-woven polypropylene, kraft paper, cotton canvas and laminated (BOPP or matt lamination on non-woven or paper). Each material has different load capacities, surface finishes and sustainability profiles. Our team can recommend the best material for your product category, brand positioning and budget.
Are your bags eco-friendly and recyclable?
Yes. Non-woven PP bags are reusable and recyclable. Kraft paper bags are made from sustainably sourced paper and are fully biodegradable. Cotton canvas bags are natural, washable and long-lasting. We do not use single-use plastics in our bag production. Many of our clients in the restaurant, retail and D2C sectors choose our bags specifically to meet their sustainability commitments.
How do you maintain quality consistency across large production runs?
All production takes place at our own manufacturing unit in IDA Cherlapally, Hyderabad — we do not outsource. This gives us direct control over material sourcing, printing calibration and finishing standards. Each batch undergoes quality checks for print registration, seam strength and handle durability before dispatch. Clients receive a pre-shipment inspection report on request.
Pricing, Dispatch & Delivery
How is bulk pricing structured and can I get a volume discount?
Our pricing is tiered by order volume — the higher the quantity, the lower the per-unit cost. Unit prices also vary by material, number of print colours, bag size and handle type. We do not publish a fixed price list because every order is configured to the client’s specification. How long does production and dispatch take?
Once artwork is approved and the advance payment is confirmed, production and dispatch is completed within 7–10 working days for standard orders. This timeline covers in-house manufacturing, printing and quality checks. Delivery time from dispatch depends on your location within India — typically 1–4 business days for metro cities and major towns via our logistics partners.
Do you ship pan-India and what are the freight terms?
Yes, we dispatch to all states across India through reputable courier and freight partners. Freight charges are calculated based on shipment weight, dimensions and destination. For large-volume orders above a certain threshold, freight may be included — this will be specified in your quotation. We share tracking details for every shipment.
What payment terms do you offer for B2B orders?
Standard payment terms are 50% advance at order confirmation and the remaining 50% prior to dispatch. Established clients with a consistent order history may discuss credit terms with our accounts team. We accept NEFT, RTGS, UPI and bank transfers. GST invoices are issued for all transactions.
